Brisbane French Festival

2010 and beyond ..
Following on from the success of my French Affair Expo in 2009, I was approached by members of the Brisbane French community to join forces to create a signature event to celebrate Bastille Day each year .. and the Brisbane French Festival was born.
A talented and hard working committee volunteer their time to bring the festival to life each year. I began as the vice president of the organising committee, but after moving to Sydney, I am no longer involved in running of the event.  However, I am excited to attend every year as a stall holder.
Close to Bastille Day, July 14th, each year, the hard working volunteer committee present the Brisbane French Festival.  For the weekend, the Cultural Forecourt at Southbank, Brisbane is transformed into a little corner of France.
The Festival is a wonderful success attracting:
#  Around 60,000 visitors
#  Many generous sponsors including community grants
#  Over 60 exhibitors
#  More than 25 acts on the main stage as well as roving entertainment
#  Over 100 volunteers
Thanks to the fabulous committee, the generous support of sponsors and the enthusiasm of Francophiles from Brisbane and further afield, this festival has become the largest French Festival in Australia, giving visitors a real French experience in the heart of Brisbane. Click here for more.
