Je n'ai fait ni une ni deux. - I didn't have a second's hesitaiton.

Mercredi en huit. - A week on Wednesday.

Elle ne sait rien faire de ses dix doigts. - She is useless.

Un de perdu, dix de retrouvés. - There are plenty more fish in the sea.

Attendre cent sept ans. - To wait for ages.

Dans la semaine des quatre jeudis et des trois dimanches. - Never!

Un tiens vaut mieux que deux tu l'auras. - A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. (One that you hold is better than two that you will have.)
