What is Ginkgo?

One of the oldest living tree species in the world, Ginkgo has a long history in traditional Chinese medicine. Planted since ancient times in Chinese and Japanese temple gardens, Ginkgo is now planted throughout the world as an ornamental feature.

This impressive tree can grow to over 50 metres tall. The fan-shaped leaves look like the delicate maidenhair fern. However, it’s not just the distinctive look that makes this ancient plant so important. Ginkgo supplements may help with many health conditions with a focus on brain function and blood circulation.

Important Notes

  • The photos are as accurate as possible. However, colours in photos are sometimes different to the tablecloth. Small colour variations may occur.

Linen Fabric

You’ll love the look and feel of natural linen which becomes softer and more luxurious with each wash. Linen is easy to look after. Just follow these simple steps.

Help! How To Fix a Stain

Immediately saturate the stain with either laundry stain remover or soda water. Do not rub – just let the liquid soak in. Let it sit while you finish your meal, then wash as usual.

How to Wash Your Linen Tablecloth

Linen is made from flax, a natural fibre that can absorb a lot of water and is prone to creasing.

  • For best results, wash on it’s own – not in a machine full with lots of other items. Give items a lot of space to move around in the drum to reduce creasing.
  • Select a gentle machine wash up to about 40 C. Use a gentle detergent without bleach.
  • When finished, immediately remove the tablecloth to avoid extra creasing from sitting damp in the drum.
  • Line drying is best. If required linen can be tumbled dried at low temperatures. To avoid creasing, don't overload and remove the tablecloth as soon as it's finished drying.
  • You don’t need to iron your tablecloth as natural creases can add a relaxed charm. If you want it to be completely wrinkle free, iron while it’s still slightly damp. Use a medium setting with steam.

Ideal Tablecloth Sizes for Rectangle Tables

First, measure your table and add the amount of overhang you would like. Remember to add the overhang amount twice to allow for both sides.

For a 110cm wide table with an overhang of 20cm, the width of the tablecloth would be 150cm. The ideal overhang is entirely personal preference. Suggested tablecloth sizes below are based on an overhang of between 15cm to 25cm.
