Caring for your cotton tablecloth

Your cotton tablecloth is machine washable. Follow the care label for the washing temperature, drying method and ironing instructions.

This fabric is not stain resistant. Blot spills promptly with a clean cloth, then wash according to the care label.

Make sure your tablecloth is completely dry before folding and storing it.

Ideal Tablecloth Sizes for Rectangle Tables

First, measure your table and add the amount of overhang you'd like. Remember to add the overhang amount twice to allow for both sides. Read more about the ideal overhang.

For a 110cm wide table with an overhang of 20cm, the width of the tablecloth would be 150cm. The ideal overhang is entirely personal preference. Suggested tablecloth sizes below are based on an overhang of between 15cm to 25cm.

What Width?

The tablecloths come in a variety of widths:

120cm wide to suit a small four seater or coffee table
140cm to 150cm wide to suit most standard tables measuring between 85cm and 120cm
175cm to 295cm wide to suit very wide tables or if you want a longer overhang

Is this a coated tablecloth?

No. It’s a cotton tablecloth so it has a soft feel and drapes nicely on your table. It doesn't have a protective coating, so spills will soak into the fabric rather than wipe away.

Can I wash the tablecloth?

How much tablecloth overhang should I allow?

Around 15 to 25 cm on each side is a useful guide, but it comes down to the look you like and how your table is used.

Subtract your table measurement from the tablecloth measurement, then divide by two. Do this for the length and width to see how much overhang you will have.

For example, a 250 × 145 cm tablecloth on a 210 × 95 cm table gives 20 cm overhang at each end and 25 cm overhang along each side.
