Caring for your stain-resistant tablecloth

  • Immediately wipe up any spills with a damp cloth.
  • Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold or warm water, up to 30°C.
  • Hang on the line to dry. Do not put in the dryer.
  • If you want, iron the cloth on the reverse side.

Choose your rectangle tablecloth size

Sizes shown are tablecloth measurements. Choose a cloth larger than your table to allow for overhang.

Measure the length and width of your tabletop. Decide how far you would like the cloth to hang over the edges, then add that amount twice to each measurement.

For a 160 × 110 cm table with 20 cm overhang all around:

  • Length: 160 + 20 + 20 = 200 cm
  • Width: 110 + 20 + 20 = 150 cm

Choose a 200 × 150 cm tablecloth.

Check the overhang of an available size

Subtract your table length from the tablecloth length, then divide by two. Repeat for the width to see how much overhang you will have along each side.

The overhang does not have to be identical at the ends and sides. Around 15 to 25 cm is a useful starting point, but choose what looks good and works with your chairs.

Seating labels are approximate. Always check your table measurements and preferred overhang.

Need a different size?

Available lengths and widths vary by fabric and design. Contact us with your table measurements and preferred design so we can explain the options.

You might like to know

What does jacquard mean?

Jacquard means the design is woven into the fabric rather than printed on the surface. This tablecloth is made from polyester, with the woven pattern giving it its distinctive texture.

Does the stain resistant fabric feel stiff?

No. Each thread is individually coated before being woven into the fabric. This gives the tablecloth its stain resistance while keeping it very soft to touch, with a beautiful drape.

You won’t realise it’s stain resistant until you see a spill bead on the surface.

If you’d like to feel it for yourself, you can order a fabric sample pack. It includes one representative jacquard sample. It may be a different design, but it will give you an idea of how the fabric feels.

Will spills wipe away, and can I wash it?

Yes. Even spilt red wine beads on the surface, ready to wipe away with a damp cloth. Wipe up spills promptly to help prevent staining.

The tablecloth is also machine washable. See the Care Instructions tab for washing guidance.

How much tablecloth overhang should I allow?

Around 15 to 25 cm on each side is a useful guide, but it comes down to the look you like and how your table is used.

Subtract your table measurement from the tablecloth measurement, then divide by two. Do this for the length and width to see how much overhang you will have.

For example, a 240 × 150 cm tablecloth on a 200 × 100 cm table gives 20 cm overhang at each end and 25 cm overhang along each side.

For more help, read our guide to the ideal overhang for your table.

Where is the tablecloth made?

It’s designed in France and made in China, so you can enjoy the French style you love at an affordable price.

Can you make a custom size?

Yes. We have this fabric available in a width of 150 cm and can make a custom length. Contact us with your table measurements and preferred overhang, and we’ll confirm the finished size and price.
