Its watercolour foliage brings soft greens and touches of pink to a white background. There’s room for your favourite everyday crockery, a small vase from the garden and whatever happens to be on the menu. You don’t need an occasion to enjoy a table that feels inviting.

Jazmin is especially lovely if you prefer a quieter pattern that gives the room a fresh feel. The coated cotton fabric comes from Spain, with round sizes for small kitchen tables through to larger dining tables.

And when someone spills their drink? Most everyday spills stay on the surface, ready to wipe away with a damp cloth. The tablecloth is also machine washable, so keeping the table looking lovely needn’t become another job.

Caring for your stain-resistant tablecloth

Immediately wipe up any spills with a damp cloth.
Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold or warm water, up to 30°C.
Hang on the line to dry. Do not put in the dryer.
If you want, iron the cloth on the reverse side.

Choose your round tablecloth size

Sizes shown are tablecloth measurements. Choose a cloth larger than your table to allow for overhang.

Measure straight across the centre of your tabletop. This is its diameter. Decide how far you would like the cloth to hang over the edge, then add that amount twice.

For a table measuring 140 cm across with 20 cm overhang on each side:

140 + 20 + 20 = 180 cm

Choose a 180 cm round tablecloth.

To check the overhang of an available size, subtract your table diameter from the tablecloth diameter, then divide by two. A 180 cm cloth on a 140 cm table gives 20 cm overhang all around.

Around 15 to 25 cm is a useful starting point. Seating labels are approximate, so use your table measurement to choose.

Does the coating affect how the tablecloth feels?

Yes. The protective acrylic coating makes the fabric feel a little stiffer, but it still drapes nicely over the edge of your table. It’s softer than a plastic tablecloth, and you can’t tell by looking that it has a coating.

What makes the tablecloth stain resistant?

The secret is the protective acrylic coating. Instead of soaking into the fabric, most everyday spills stay on the surface, making them easy to wipe away with a damp cloth.

Can I wash it in the washing machine?

Absolutely. A quick wipe is usually enough between meals, but you can machine wash your tablecloth when it needs a freshen up. See the care instructions tab for washing details.

Yes. The coated fabric is certified to the internationally recognised OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, meaning it has passed strict testing for harmful substances.

What size should I choose?

Attractive and protective tablecloth

I bought 2 – one as a gift. I previously purchased the rectangle Jazmin stain resistant for my outdoor dining table and now have one for my indoor round table.

LOVE my tablecloth.

The cloth was very pretty, but felt more “plastic-y” than I expected ,even though the website said it was treated to be stain-resistant. I swapped it for a cotton cloth that was not treated in that way, and I’m delighted with it; it looks great. Sue made the swap-over process very easy.

While I am very pleased with my purchase, next time I would order according to the seating number of my table rather than the 180cm size as I have purchased from other suppliers.
